Much to the delight of our SharePoint team, Microsoft has announced that SharePoint Server 2019 is now available in Preview.
SharePoint Server 2019 will help the user “achieve new levels of reliability and performance, delivering features and capabilities that simplify administration, protect communications and information, and empower users with a mobile, intelligent intranet and content collaboration solutions that work across devices and screens,” says Microsoft.
The product has been designed, developed, and tested with the Microsoft Software as a Service (SaaS) strategy, building on Office 365 as its core. Drawing extensively from the success of SharePoint Online, SharePoint Server 2019 offers new and improved, highly flexible deployment options. Users can choose from a traditional on-premises deployment, a hosted service with Microsoft Office 365 sites powered by Microsoft SharePoint Online, deployment in Azure Infrastructure as a Service (IaaS), or a hybrid configuration, empowering choice on how and when to take advantage of on-premises or cloud-based solutions, all while providing a consistent and familiar user experience.
