Xamarin.Essentials 1.5 – What’s New

Xamarin Consulting
April brought us the release of Xamarin.Essentials 1.5. Xamarin.Essentials always brings us simplification of intricate native features into a single cross-platform library.

Here is a quick round-up of the new features in this release:

  • A new way to simply choose theme, light or dark mode
  • A new and simpler code to ask for permissions such as camera access or location
  • Pairing with ASP.NET Core authentication is easier than ever

Of course, all these features will function seamlessly across iOS, Android, UWP, Tizen, watchOS, and tvOS.
