In June, support for SQL Server in data flows (in Azure Data Factory and Azure Synapse) became generally available.
If you missed the general availability release earlier this year, here is a quick recap.
Within Azure Data Factory and Azure Synapse, using Spark compute, Data Flows is a visual data transformation service that is low-code but with powerful scale-out ETL capabilities.
Within Data Flows, you can natively connect to both on-premises and VM-based SQL Server. SQL Server is available as a connector option in both shared integration datasets and inline in source and sink.
