Microsoft’s developer event, Microsoft Connect() 2018 took place yesterday. There were plenty of exciting announcements made this year, including the general availabilities of both Azure Machine Learning service and the custom translation capability in Translator Text Cognitive Service, and Preview availabilities of Azure Cosmos DB .NET SDK and Azure Functions Python support.
All of the sessions are available on the Connect() website, as well as keynotes from Scott Hanselman (Principal Program Manager at Microsoft) and Scott Guthrie (Executive Vice President of the Cloud and Enterprise group at Microsoft).
Microsoft has announced general availability of the Azure Machine Learning service, enabling developers to build, train and deploy machine learning models. Using Azure Machine Learning, developers can automate model selection and tuning, increase productivity with DevOps for machine learning, and deploy models simply.
“With features like automated machine learning, organizations can accelerate their model development by identifying suitable algorithms and machine learning pipelines faster. This helps organizations significantly reduce development time, from days to hours,” said Eric Boyd (Corporate Vice President, Azure AI at Microsoft) in the announcement on the Microsoft website.
