We want to share with you an urgent appeal from one of our clients, Care Database – Shooting Star Children’s Hospices.
This children’s hospice charity supports over 700 children a year throughout Surrey and London. They provide end of life support, respite, counselling for families and more. As a charity, it relies completely on generous donations from the community to stay open.
With the unprecedented Coronavirus situation, their high street shops are closed and fundraising events have been cancelled. Their source of income has been effectively shut off and unless emergency funds can be donated in the coming weeks, they would have to stop providing end-of-life support and emergency respite care on top of the existing closures due to quarantine.
Please band together to help these vulnerable families and this much-needed charity. The NHS are overloaded dealing with the crisis and if the hospices close, families will simply have nowhere else to go.
