Regarding COVID-19

In light of recent developments around the COVID-19 condition, we wanted to share an update on what we are doing to keep our team safe and operations moving. As well as specific steps we’ve taken to continue to deliver our business-critical services our clients are relying on.

Ballard Chalmers is 100% set up for remote working as part of our standard business continuity plan and all our services are running normally and application support is functioning with existing SLAs.

As a tech company, it’s very easy for us to move our complete workforce to remote work. All our systems are designed for secured remote access.

Many of our team were already homeworking for part of the week as a norm, and we have a full remote-working policy for all staff that will now be working from home.

We have switched client meetings to video conference calls and all our staff are available by phone, video and email as normal. We are working fully on a business as usual basis on software development and support services.

With our 100% remote-working capability, we see no major disruption to our services in the coming months.

The health and safety of our team, their families, and our clients are the highest priority. We continue to encourage everyone to follow the preventive measures recommended by the UK government and the NHS. If any of our key team members are taken ill, we have full coverage on systems support in place and will advise in the case of any development schedules becoming impacted on a short-term basis while the cover is arranged.

Rest assured, leveraging our 30 plus years of experience, we are well-positioned and prepared to work through this pandemic and we will continue to communicate any updates and other measures we’re taking as the situation progresses.

If you have any questions or concerns, please don’t hesitate to contact us on 01342 590051.

Kind regards,
Geoff Ballard & Andrew Chalmers
