Xamarin Community ToolKit is set to become .NET MAUI ToolKit. This will be a new Community Toolkit library fully optimized for .NET MAUI. It will continue to be community supported and open-source – just like the Xamarin Community Toolkit.
It will be released in two NuGet Packages: CommunityToolkit.Maui and CommunityToolkit.Maui.Markup. Work is currently underway to port the features from the Xamarin Community Toolkit to the new .NET MAUI toolkit and going forward the .NET MAUI Toolkit will be the recommended toolkit for all .NET MAUI Apps.
To help avoid breaking changes when porting Xamarin.Forms apps to .NET MAUI, there will be two .NET MAUI-Compatible versions of the Xamarin Community Toolkit: Xamarin.CommunityToolkit.MauiCompat and Xamarin.CommunityToolkit.Markup.MauiCompat
As with Xamarin.Forms, the Xamarin Community Toolkit will continue to be serviced until November 2022. Pull requests adding new features will be accepted until September 2021 and pull requests fixing bugs will be accepted right through to November 2022.
